About the Interactive Learning Environment (ILE)
We are proud to present the Interactive Learning Environment that was developed in the context of the BRISWA 2.0 project. The simulation model, which uses the System Dynamics methodology, explores how racist incidents in football emerge, spread and can be mitigated through targeted interventions at multiple levels. The simulation model represents interactions and causal relationships among fans, football clubs and associations, and users can experiment and learn in a consequence-free environment.
The users can test how education, enforcement, transparency and trust influence the dynamics of racism over time and how they are translated to aspects such as stadium attendance and costs. The ILE is designed as a learning and dialogue tool that can reveal deep insights about the dynamics of racism and how they emerge through feedback loops, delays and social structures.
