PRIVACY POLICY

The Link Campus University adopts the measures necessary for the application of the European Regulation 2016/679 GDPR (General Data Protection Regulation), and the current national legislation, relating to the protection of natural persons with regard to data processing personal. In fact, it is hereby announced that EU Regulation 2016/679 on the protection of natural persons with regard to the processing of personal data has been in force since 25 May 2018.

Personal data means:

Identifying data, which declares the identity of a person
Sensitive data, which reveals racial and ethnic origin, religious, philosophical or other beliefs, political opinions, membership of political parties, trade unions, associations or organizations of a religious, philosophical, political or trade union nature, as well as personal data suitable for revealing the state of health and sexual life
Judicial data, which reveal provisions regarding criminal records, register of sanctions administrative procedures dependent on crime and related pending charges, or the status of accused or suspect pursuant to articles 60 and 61 of the criminal procedure code;
Data controller

The data controller is the University of Link Campus University, in the person of its pro-tempore legal representative, the President of the Link Campus University Foundation, domiciled for the purpose at the university headquarters.

Personal Data Protection Officer (DPO)

The person responsible for the protection of personal data is a figure provided for by art. 37 of Regulation (EU) 2016/679. This is a person designated by the data controller to carry out support and control, consultative, training and information functions relating to the application of the Regulation itself:

a) inform and provide advice to the data controller as well as to the employees carrying out the processing regarding the obligations deriving from the GDPR, as well as from other national or Union provisions relating to data protection;
b) monitor compliance with the GDPR, other national or Union provisions relating to data protection as well as the policies of the data controller or processor regarding the protection of personal data, including attribution of responsibility, awareness-raising and training of staff participating in processing and related control activities;
c) provide, if requested, an opinion on the data protection impact assessment and monitor its conduct pursuant to Article 35 of the GDPR;
d) cooperate with the Data Protection Guarantor of personal data;
e) act as a point of contact with the Guarantor for the protection of personal data for issues related to processing.

Data processed

The University of Link Campus University, pursuant to art. 13 of the Legislative Decree. 30 June 2003 n. 196, informs that personal and identifying data concerning students are managed by the Administration, for the purposes of fulfilling legal requirements. The data processed are as follows:

a) personal, identification and information data contained in the registration application, including data relating to the qualification for access to university courses;
b) data relating to scholastic, intermediate and final results, or in any case connected to the university career;
c) data relating to disabled students;
d) data relating to income elements for the purposes of possible exemptions from the payment of university fees.

Please note that among the data processed there are those defined:

judicial pursuant to art. 4, paragraph 1, letter e) of the Legislative Decree. 196/2003, namely: personal data suitable for revealing the provisions referred to in the art. 3, paragraph 1, letters from a) to o) and from r) to u) of the Presidential Decree. 14 November 2002 n. 313;
sensitive pursuant to art. 4, paragraph 1, letter. d) of the Legislative Decree. 196/2003.

Purpose of processing and legal basis

The processing of personal data requested from the interested party is carried out pursuant to art. 6 letter e) of EU regulation 2016/679, for the following purposes:

  • enrolment and attendance of university courses in person and in e-learning mode
  • university career management
  • use of orientation services
  • achievement of qualification
  • calculation of the amounts of taxes due
  • use of telematic and email services
  • use of library services
  • access to laboratories and other protected facilities
  • use of contributions, concessions and services relating to the right to university education
  • application of safety measures in the workplace in accordance with the provisions of Legislative Decree 81/2008
  • sending communications regarding one’s university career
  • surveys for teaching evaluation and customer satisfaction
  • archiving and conservation of documents relating to the university career, both regarding the studies carried out and any positions held, and the qualifications obtained
  • elections of student representatives and for the possible performance of duties relating to the elective position held by the interested party in the governing bodies of the University
    statistics and historical and scientific research, anonymously
  • possible use of benefits relating to the chronic or temporary disability of the interested party. The processing of personal identification and university career data is also envisaged for the following purposes:
    communication to external public or private subjects for employment purposes or cultural;
    commercial information and sending of advertising/information material of goods and services also of jointly owned or otherwise connected companies, also by virtue of contract and/or agreements with the University, deemed to be of interest to you, both in automated and conventional, e-mail and related Web applications, by virtue of express consent. Personal data may be communicated to other public entities when communication is in any case necessary for the performance of the institutional functions of the University requested by the interested party, such as, for example for example, public bodies responsible for managing contributions for research and scholarships.

The owner does not use automatic processes aimed at profiling the interested party.

Place and method of data processing

The owner informs that the above-mentioned data will be processed in both paper and electronic form, through the insertion of the data both in archives and in student databases. Furthermore, personal data relating to your university career will be stored indefinitely, taking into account the archiving obligations imposed by current legislation. The other data collected for the use of the services and for communications will be kept for the times established by current legislation or University regulations.

Recipients of personal data

The personal data provided by users are communicated to third parties only if necessary for this purpose, to other public entities (for example the Ministry of Education, University and Research, Regional Body for the Right to University Study, Regional Observatory for the University and for the Right to University Education, Ministry of Finance) which manage the provision of research contributions and/or scholarships or which promote studies and research, projects for university development and of services for the right to education. The personal data are also communicated to the banking institution which, in agreement with the University, manages the procedure for collecting university taxes and contributions.

Personal data will be processed within the University by the teachers of the chosen study path and by the technical-administrative staff pertaining to the structures responsible for the various types of processing.

Personal data may also be communicated to public or private companies where teaching, research or internship activities relating to the chosen study path may be carried out.

Personal data may be communicated to foreign universities as part of student mobility programs for the purposes indicated in this statement.

The personal data could also be communicated to other public administrations, if they need to process the same for any proceedings within their institutional competence.

Personal data will also be communicated by the University, both during the acquisition of information and during the students’ university and post-university careers, to private entities, external bodies and associations, for orientation and insertion initiatives in the world of work and for post-graduate training activities; to joint controllers and data processors as natural or legal persons who, also by virtue of a contract and/or agreements with the University, provide specific educational and processing services or carry out activities connected, instrumental or in support of those of the University.< /p>

 

Any transfer of data abroad to non-EU countries takes place in accordance with the provisions contained in Chapter V, GDPR (Article 46).

Rights of the interested party

The New European Regulation on the protection of personal data (2016/679) guarantees that the interested party has:

the right to obtain confirmation of the existence or otherwise of personal data concerning him, even if not yet registered;
the right to know:
the origin of the personal data;
the purposes and methods of the processing;
the logic applied in case of processing carried out with the aid of electronic instruments;
the identifying details of the owner, of the persons responsible or of the categories of subjects to whom the personal data may be communicated or may become known to them.
the right to obtain, from the owner or manager, without delay:
updating, rectification or, when interested, data integration;
the cancellation, transformation into anonymous form or blocking of data processed in violation of the law, including those whose retention is not necessary in relation to the purposes for which the data were collected or subsequently processed;
/> the certification that the operations referred to in the previous letters a) and b) have been brought to the attention, also with regard to their content, of those to whom the data have been communicated or disseminated, except in the case in which this fulfillment proves impossible or involves the use of means that are manifestly disproportionate to the protected right.
The right to object in whole or in part:
for legitimate reasons to the processing of personal data concerning him, even if pertinent to the purpose of the collection;
to the processing of personal data concerning him, for the purposes of sending advertising or direct sales material or for carrying out market research or commercial communication.

Update of the Privacy Policy

We reserve the right, at our sole discretion, to modify this Privacy Policy in the event of any changes or updates.
